STEP 1:

Karin Lindholm will meet with you personally,  to discuss your brief and explain the process in detail.

Ideally, a visit to your proposed building site will be scheduled or if extending or renovating, or if you are looking for a new kitchen or interior cabinetry, Karin will meet with you at your home.

Karin will provide you with a detailed estimate for the architectural design and/or drafting of your project and can provide a summary of what consultants may be required to complete your project, and talk you through what to expect during the process.

The building process can be daunting but with the right professionals working with you, it does not need to be difficult. Karin will co-ordinate with consultants on your behalf and make the process as simple and stress-free as possible for you.

STEP 2: THE CONCEPT

Picture

Creating your dream together...

Bring your wish list, and your budget and Karin will bring her combination of extensive design and drafting experience and artistic talents to create a concept design, just for you.

Or if you have a concept already Karin will develop this with you ready for construction drawings.

Karin is an accredited HOMESTAR assessor, so if it is something you desire, Karin can also design your home to qualify for a Homestar rating and facilitate the process for assessment and certification.

Engaging the right people to help...
Where other specialists are required for your project, Karin will consult with you make sure the right consultants are engaged on your behalf or co-ordinate with your preferred consultants as required.

Other consultants may be required for things such as  interior, lighting or landscape design, geotechnical investigations, waste water and stormwater disposal design and structrual design or if a resource consent is required then a planner may need to be engaged, depending on complexity of the consent.

Karin will identify what consultants are required during the concept process.

3D Images, Sun studies and an interactive 3D model

As your concept progresses, Karin will generate a series of 3D images to help you visualise your design.

Starting with a 3D "Sketch"

Developing to rendered 3D views.

Near the end of the concept process for renovations and new homes Karin will provide exterior sun-studies for you to view and a link to an interactive 3D model that allows you to see your new home or space in 3D and even "walk" around your new home.

STEP 3: ARCHITECTURAL WORKING DRAWINGS

Karin will oversee the production of the architectural working drawings using ArchICAD software, providing detail and incorporating consultants design as required to create a set of construction drawings and documentation that can be used for building consent and for the builder to construct from once issued by council.

Karin prides herself on the fact that the drawings and documentation produced by LINDHOLM DESIGN LTD are recognised by council and builders to be of a high standard and level of detail to ensure a smooth path through the consenting process and reduce queries and confusion on site.

The result is satisfaction and pride for all involved in seeing your concept come to life and your project completed - uniquely yours.
